Gregory Dorchak, ADA 29 panelist

July 2, 2019

Gregory is a U.S. Attorney in the Civil Rights Unit at the United States Attorney’s Office. While Greg enforces all federal civil rights statutes, he has recently focused on the civil rights for individuals in recovery for substance use disorder. Prior to working at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Greg enforced fair housing statutes for HUD. Greg is also an instructor at UMass Amherst where he teaches Public Policy. He obtained his Ph.D. from UMass Amherst, and his law degree from Northeastern University.

Gregory will discuss how the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act protect people in recovery as people with disabilities. He will specifically touch on recovery homes as a hot button issue.
